This year's "Un réalisateur dans la ville" festival will be held in Nîmes from Sunday July 21 to Wednesday July 24. This edition will be dedicated to the talented director and screenwriter Emmanuelle Bercot. President Philippe le Guay, also a director and screenwriter, explains that Bercot was chosen because of her undeniable talent, her sensitivity and her commitment to creating films that highlight human bonds. He points in particular to the success of her film "La tête haute" and her cinematic approach, which is very close to the characters.
This year, the festival is also celebrating its anniversary, and has therefore chosen to pay tribute to Emmanuelle Bercot by offering her the role of godmother for the edition. President Le Guay expressed his enthusiasm at the prospect of working with Bercot, underlining her energy and generosity towards her audience and team.
The anniversary edition will include a retrospective of Bercot's films and TV movies, as well as screenings in the Jardins de la Fontaine, selected in collaboration with the director herself. This year promises to be a unique experience for Nîmes residents and holidaymakers alike.
